  • 06/10 2:00 - 4:00: Social Sip Adult Summer Reading Kickoff

Join us for a mocktail bar social hour, pick up your summer reading logs and participate in some crafting in a low-key, relaxed environment. No alocohol will be present.

  • 06/12 5:30 PM: Arsène’s Mystery Masterpiece (13+)

After several years of defying the police, the most brilliant of all burglars, Arsène Lupin, has decided to put an end to his “remarkable career”. To do so, he wants to surprise the police one last time with his ultimate “masterpiece”.

You are a member of the police squad, and you have received a letter from him. He claims to be in possession of an original painting, the most sought-after in the world and missing for decades: “Poppy Flowers” by Van Gogh.

You have one hour to find the place where the painting is hidden by following the trail game orchestrated by Lupin.

If you manage to solve the riddles, you will find the place where he has hidden the painting. If not, he will disappear with it. Join us in helping to locate the hidden painting!

Join us to make your own lamp from a repurposed book, then take home your finished craft! Materials provided to the first 30 patrons. Patrons after the first 30 are welcomed but are not guaranteed materials. No usable books are harmed in the creation of this craft.

  • Every Thursday 6/15-7/20 3:30-4:00: ESL Conversation Group

Join us for a weekly 30-minute English as Second Language (ESL) conversational group for all levels of nonnative English speakers. This conversation group is designed to provide a safe, free space to practice your English speaking and listening skills amongst other learners of the language.

  • 06/15 5:00 PM: Silent Reading Club (16+)

Silent reading 5:00 - 6:30: Enjoy the quiet company of other readers and a cozy atmosphere with no pressure to interact. Then, if you choose to, stay for Bring Your Own Book Club at 6:30: Bring what you've been reading and chat with other readers about how you liked it, if you'd recommend it, etc.

  • 06/17 10:00 AM: Writer's Workshop

Enjoy a fun morning with other local writers, share your work, talk through issues in your writing and encourage others. This is a come and go session.

  • 06/20 5:00 PM: Community Craft Swap

Do you have craft supplies that just aren't inspiring to you? Bring in your unused or gently used, still usable craft and art supplies to swap for other items. You will receive tickets for the supplies you bring in, which can be brought in from 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM on 6/20. These tickets can be exchanged to swap for new-to-you items brought in by other participants. You are welcome to bring home any of your leftover items at the end of the night if you so choose. If you have particularly valuable items to swap, pre-swap them by setting up a swap on the Facebook event page, then meet at the event to swap your stuff!

  • 06/22 6:00 PM: A Novel Bunch

Join us for the monthly meeting of the A Novel Bunch book club! This month's book is If You Tell by Gregg Olson. Please come prepared to discuss the novel.

  • 06/22 6:00 PM: Bake & Make - banana nutella crepes (all ages, with adult help)

Whether you're a seasoned baker or a newbie in the kitchen, this event is perfect for anyone looking to have fun and connect with others over a shared love of baking. Plus, you'll get to enjoy a delicious dessert at the end of the event that you made from scratch!

Pick up a kit of ingredients from 6/17-6/22 at the front desk, then tune in on Zoom 6/22 6:00 PM to learn how to make banana nutella crepes! Bake as a family or by yourself, video on or off.   • 06/26 5:30 PM: Murder Mystery - Murder at Stackallen Castle (13+)

The Earl of Stackallen Castle, His Lordship Hugh Joyce, is hosting his annual charity gala ball at his lavish family castle deep in the Irish countryside.

Before the festivities can get underway, his body is discovered slumped over his own desk. Join us in the castle library to discover who stabbed His Lordship in the back.

  • 07/17 5:30 PM: Mystery in the Library (11+)

The other night in the library, when many characters were out of their books enjoying a sojourn in the night air, a crime was committed, grim and grave, right in our own library. As a result his Majesty King Henry VIII -- that famous monarch from the English history books -- has disappeared.

Join us in gathering the characters that were present in the library at the time of the King Henry's disappearance. Fortunately, Sherlock Holmes will be joining us to investigate, so the perpetrator of this heinous crime will no doubt be revealed as the night proceeds.

Join us for a relaxing night of coloring! Light refreshments will be served. We will provide coloring sheets, colored pencils, and felt markers. You are welcome to bring your own materials.
