Welcome to the Autauga Prattville Public Library!
APPL has been serving our community since 1956, and whether you are joining us for the first time or have been a patron for the last 65+ years, we are so happy you are here!
The library has long been a place for connection, disovery, engagement, and fun and it still is!
Our services are ever evolving, and we are always searching for ways to better meet the needs of this community. With personalized book bundles for those interested in curated reading experience, books by mail for when coming in-person is not possible, curbside pick up when you are in hurry, take and make craft kits for fun at home, monthly, weekly, and special occasion in-person programs and events, and public access computers and printing services, we are here and ready to serve you!
Our virtual services give you 24/7 library access to e-books, audio books, streaming, language learning, geneology, trustworthy information via our database collections, and so much more!
Be sure to download Librista and Hoopla from the app store so that APPL content is always within reach on your mobile devices!
With all of these resourses you can read your way at APPL!
What to expect during your first library visit:
To use APPL's resources, you will need a library card! You can apply for a card online or in person! Be sure to bring your proof of address if you are an Autauga County resident! Resident cards are free, as are cards for active and retired military and their immediate family! If you live in another county, the cost to join APPL is $15 per year.
The first time you check out books, you will be able to take FIVE items per library card home. Once you bring these back, you can take up to FIFTY each time you check out materials! There is a limit of TWO DVDs at a time, but if you need more than two at time, you can upgrade to a Gold Card for $5! Ask our staff if you are interested in a Gold Card.
