APPL has been serving our community since 1956, and whether you are joining us for the first time or have been a patron for the last 65+ years, we are so happy you are here!

Our services are ever evolving, and we are always searching for ways to better meet the needs of this community. With personalized book bundles available for those looking to request curated selections based on their reading interests; books by mail available for patrons who cannot visit the library in person to check out books; time saving curbside pick up available for patrons to have books reserved via the online catalog delivered directly to their vehicle at the library; take and make craft kits for fun at home; in-person programs and events including monthly, weekly, and special occasion activities listed on our library calendar; and public access computers and printing services, we are here and ready to serve you!

What to expect during your first library visit:
To use APPL's resources, you will need a library card! You can apply for a card online or in person! Be sure to bring your proof of address if you are an Autauga County or City of Prattville resident! Resident cards are free, as are cards for active and retired military and their immediate family! If you live in another county, the cost to join APPL is $15 per year.
The first time you check out books, you will be able to take FIVE items per library card home. Once you bring these back, you can take up to FIFTY each time you check out materials! There is a limit of TWO DVDs at a time, but if you need more than two at time, you can upgrade to a Gold Card for $5! Ask our staff if you are interested in a Gold Card.
